murdered by two men on a crime spree in san jose. cbs 5 reporter anne makovec with the report. >> you would never want to see someone that young lose his life at a young age. flush by those means. >> reporter: 22-year-old rory park-pettiford was remembered as a memorial service in campbell. >> rory was a great kid. always jovial and happy. you know practical jokers. >> reporter: but many friends couldn't speak of him without breaking down. because they can't help but remember how he was killed during a robbery attempt one week and one day ago. this is photo of two robbers who police say tried to carjack park-pettiford in his car outside a 7/11 store and shot him when he tried to drive away. that's after a crime spree that started with four armed robberies within an hour on friday, november 16th. this is how it ended for one suspect. 26-year-old jonathan wilbanks. captured after running into a family home later that night. the second and final suspect a teenager was caught last night after a week on the run. >> we're just happy that he's in custody now and again, the community

with police in san jose. despite being hurt in the gunfire an officer continued to chase down the suspects and make an arrest. cbs 5 reporter anne makovec was there where it started. >>> reporter: it's a wild story and convoluted. i'm here at one of the crime scenes. this is the scene of the shootout between the suspects and police. again, the good news, the officer that was shot is okay. one of the suspects is in custody. bad news is that a very raucous criminal is still on the loose. >> but needless to say rate now our primary focus is getting the second guy in custody. >> reporter: after a car and foot chase this is how it ended for one of two men accused of shooting a police officer in san jose last night hiding in a neighborhood that spent two hours on lockdown. >> it was crazy and scary. >> reporter: police say the men went on an armed robbery spree yesterday hitting up businesses and people at gunpoint in all four of these locations, police are also look into the possibility the two were involved in a murder. >> very violent suspects. they were both armed with firearms. and
